Crazy ‘Feed Me’ Trailer Feels Like Jeffrey Dahmer Meets ‘Hostel’

Man restrained with his arm about top be sawed off

Bloody, unhinged, and graphic — and that’s just the trailer! Feed Me is looking to test your gag reflex when it hits digital and on demand on October 27. The film is getting ready to premiere at Los Angele’s Beyond Fest on October, 5.

XYZ Films acquired the horror film with the help of EVP of US distribution, James Emanuel Shapiro. He was so impressed he negotiated the deal directly with the film’s four producers.

Buckets and Buckets of Gore

“I was truly blown away by Feed Me,” Shapiro contends. “I’ve watched this movie ten times since I first saw it because it’s such a blast. This is a horror film for the real sickos out there, myself included. I haven’t had this much fun watching a horror movie since Drag Me to Hell. This is not a brooding horror drama about grief and the human existence. Feed Me is a rollercoaster ride full of thrills, laughs and screams and it brings buckets and buckets of gore and grime to the table. I had to release this for Halloween. Dinner is served!”

There are actually two writers and directors of the film, Adam Leader and Richard Oakes. They say they weren’t afraid to offend anyone and just went for it with the story.

Feed Me is very much a film unto its own,” they said in a press release. “As a product of our combined personalities as a filmmaker duo, it’s an example of what we feel we do best – layering bizarre, batshit-crazy horror with a generous dusting of comedy on a dramatic story of grief, heartache, and self-loathing.

“From the moment of its inception, we wanted to tell the story without holding back due to the worry of what others might think. Its running themes and distinguished nature somewhat personally echo aspects of our own style as a filmmaking duo.

Plot:

Feed Me follows Mulvin’s character Jed, whose life is shattered when his wife, played by Loxley, suddenly dies and Jed feels directly responsible. Spiraling into an abyss of depression, he finds himself in a bar with a deranged cannibal, Lionel Flack (Ward, in a truly star-making performance) who convinces him he can redeem himself through the glorious act of allowing himself to be slowly eaten to death.

Grimcutty Trailer Brings A Murderous Meme To Life This Halloween

Published

on

One thing that stood out as I watched this new trailer for the Hulu movie Grimcutty was that it’s a story I haven’t seen a million times before. Sure, it’s not the first of its kind… but it does feel like a unique enough character that could spawn off into a larger franchise pending the audience reception. I guess what I’m saying is… this feels promising!

Directed and written by John William Ross (The Birch), Grimcutty follows a suburban teen girl (newcomer Sara Wolfkind) and her little brother (Callan Farris) who must stop a terrifying internet meme brought to life by the hysteria of their parents, played by Usman Ally and Shannyn Sossamon.

Grimcutty will debut on October 10th as part of Hulu’s annual Huluween celebration.

John William Ross previously created the short horror film “Gregory,” which premiered on Hulu in 2020 in the first season of 20th Digital’s “Bite Size Halloween.” “Grimcutty” is a successor both in the aesthetic of the two titular creatures and in themes of mass hysteria, technology, and social dynamics.

“Grimcutty” was developed by 20th Digital Studio with David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle serving as executive producers. Production services were carried out by producers Dawn Fanning Moore and David Moore through their production company Capture.

Season three of “Bite Size Halloween” is available on Hulu on October 1, 2022 with 20 new horror and sci-fi shorts from emerging filmmakers. Another feature, “Matriarch,” from UK writer/director Ben Steiner, will premiere on October 21. Hulu previously announced that the nine-film slate with 20th Digital will include the upcoming “Clock” from Alexis Jacknow, and “Appendage” from Anna Zlokovic, among others.

The Trailer for ‘The School for Good and Evil’ Takes Us Into The Dark Side of Fairytales

Published

Do you ever wonder where every great fairytale begins? Welcome to the School for Good and Evil…

Netflix just released the trailer for The School for Good and Evil which will be released on the streaming platform this October 19th. Most of us horror fans know the origin of most fairy tales stems from a darker more sinister story. The School for Good and Evil seems to play on that dichotomy by weaving a story of both fantasy and fear.

Based on the epic international best-selling series by Soman Chainani, The School for Good and Evil is directed by Paul Feig and stars Sophia Anne Caruso, Sofia Wylie, Kerry Washington, and Charlize Theron. Also starring Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, Jamie Flatters, Kit Young, Peter Serafinowicz, Rob Delaney, Mark Heap, Patti LuPone, and Rachel Bloom. The School for Good and Evil is only on Netflix, on October 19.

Here is the official synopsis for the movie courtesy of Netflix:

In the village of Gavaldon, two misfits and best friends, Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie) share the unlikeliest of bonds. Sophie, a golden-haired seamstress, dreams of escaping her dreary life to become a princess, while Agatha, with her grim aesthetic and offbeat mother, has the makings of a real witch.

One night under a blood-red moon, a powerful force sweeps them away to the School for Good and Evil — where the true stories behind every great fairy tale begin. Yet something is amiss from the start: Sophie is dropped into the School for Evil, run by the glamourous and acid-tongued Lady Lesso (Charlize Theron), and Agatha in the School for Good, overseen by the sunny and kind Professor Dovey (Kerry Washington).

As if navigating classes with the offspring of the Wicked Witch (Freya Parks), Captain Hook (Earl Cave), and King Arthur (Jamie Flatters) wasn’t hard enough, according to the Schoolmaster (Laurence Fishburne), only true love’s kiss can change the rules and send the girls to their rightful schools and destiny. But when a dark and dangerous figure (Kit Young) with mysterious ties to Sophie reemerges and threatens to destroy the school and the world beyond entirely — the only way to a happy ending is to survive their real-life fairytale first.

New Michael Images From ‘Halloween Ends’ Teases Laurie Showdown

Published

on

In about a month we will finally get to see the conclusion of the Halloween retcon provided to us so lovingly by David Gordon Green. Halloween Ends, ends, on October 14 at your local theater or on your couch via Peacock.

Until then, the folks over at Total Film have released some exclusive pictures from the film that show The Shape in all of his glory.

In what can only be described as polarizing in the horror community, the new Halloween movies have given rise to the voices of purists who either hate the series because it ignores some canon (didn’t Laurie already die?) or, in Kills‘ case, the dangerous irrational mob mentality that becomes the center of the plot.

In any case, these movies are box office champions which mean someone is watching them. Whether it be out of curiosity or utter completionism, people want to know what happens in the end. Lucky for them “ends” is literally in the title of this chapter.

Total Film also reveals that Ends will take place four years after the event of the second film, and Green isn’t giving any hints as to where Michael went.

“We don’t really explain that,” he told the publication. “It’s like: I don’t want to see where Jaws goes to sleep at night when I’m watching a shark movie,” the director says. “I want to see him when he pops up, and he’s got an appetite!”

These exclusive pictures aren’t anything special, but they do provide some inter-buzz until Halloween Ends finally drops on October 14.
