‘Alien: Romulus’: New Title Officially Confirmed And Is Set In Between First 2 Films

This is exciting news for fans of the franchise. Deadline officially confirmed the latest entry in the Alien franchise is titled Alien: Romulus. This latest film is set in between the first 2 films according to an interview with actor Cailee Spaeny for Variety. The film is set to debut in theaters on August 16th of this year. In an interview with Variety, Cailee Spaeny states: “It’s supposed to slot in between the first movie and the second movie. They brought the same team from ‘Aliens,’ the James Cameron film. The same people who built those xenomorphs actually came on and built ours. So getting to see the original design with the original people who have been working on these films for 45-plus years and has been so much of their life has been really incredible.

The film follows the story of “Young people from a distant world must face the most terrifying life form in the universe.” It is set to be a standalone film in the franchise. It is directed by Fede Alvarez. He is known for the horror films Don’t Breathe (2016), Evil Dead (2013), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022). It was written by Rodo Sayagues and Fede Alvarez. It stars Cailee Spaeny, Spike Fearn, Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, and many more. Ridley Scott is a producer for the film.
