‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ Unveils Teaser, Set for 2024 Premiere
AMC has raised the anticipation among fans of “The Walking Dead” franchise with the latest teaser for their upcoming spinoff series, “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live”. Scheduled to debut on February 25, 2024, the series marks the return of beloved characters Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), promising a new chapter in the ever-evolving zombie apocalypse saga.
This spinoff, revealed during the finale of “Fear the Walking Dead,” focuses on the post-apocalyptic journey of Rick and Michonne. The characters, who ventured off into their own narratives prior to the conclusion of the main series, have been a centerpiece of speculation and excitement since their unexpected appearance in the final episode of “The Walking Dead,” which aired in 2022.
The 30-second teaser blends behind-the-scenes interviews with fresh footage. Fans, however, are left in suspense about the actual reunion of the two protagonists. The snippets reveal the separate paths of Rick and Michonne, along with quick looks at potential new allies and foes.
“The Ones Who Live” is described as an epic love story set against the backdrop of a world ravaged by conflicts with the undead and the living. The central question revolves around whether Rick and Michonne can rediscover each other and their past selves in a landscape unlike any they have previously navigated. Will they remain lovers, turn into enemies, or something else entirely in this new setting?
Behind this new venture is Scott M. Gimple, serving as showrunner and executive producer, alongside the lead actors Lincoln and Gurira, Denise Huth, and Brian Bockrath. Their involvement promises a series that remains true to the spirit of the original while charting new territories.
In addition to “The Ones Who Live,” AMC is also working on the second seasons of other spinoffs, including “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon,” with the latter subtitled “The Book of Carol.” This expansion of “The Walking Dead” universe signifies AMC’s goal in exploring different facets and stories within this post-apocalyptic world. The question is: Is this overkill, or do the fans have an appetite for all this zombie content?

Travis Kelce Joins Cast on Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’
Football star Travis Kelce is going Hollywood. At least that is what Dahmer Emmy award-winning star Niecy Nash-Betts announced on her Instagram page yesterday. She posted a video of herself on set of the new Ryan Murphy FX series Grotesquerie.
“This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️ @killatrav Welcome to Grostequerie[sic]!” she wrote.
Standing just out of frame is Kelce who suddenly steps in to say, “Jumping into new territory with Niecy!” Nash-Betts appears to be in a hospital gown while Kelce is dressed as an orderly.
Not much is known about Grotesquerie, other than in literary terms it means a work filled with both science fiction and extreme horror elements. Think H.P. Lovecraft.
Back in February Murphy released an audio teaser for Grotesquerie on social media. In it, Nash-Betts says in part, “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness…”
There hasn’t been an official synopsis released regarding Grotesquerie, but keep checking back to iHorror for further details.
