Beep, Beep! It’s time to float…again! Escape IT Chapter Two is now open. Prepare for another ultimate scare, Pennywise fans. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and Egan Escape Productions have joined forces to bring fans a second installment of the highly successful escape room experience, Escape IT, which opened in early 2023. This time, the experience is inspired by New Line Cinema’s IT Chapter Two, the terrifying sequel to the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

Escape IT: Chapter Two

Located off Symphony Parkway and Martin Luther King Blvd. in Las Vegas, signs of significant landmarks from the films will immediately welcome guests and transport them to the town of Derry.  Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, Escape IT Chapter Two will continue revolutionizing the traditional escape room experience, offering fans a multi-room escape adventure that brings to life New Line’s blockbuster sequel to IT. Featuring rooms inspired by the Jade of the Orient restaurant, the Derry Canal Days Midway, and Pennywise’s lair, this extraordinary attraction boasts more than 16 interactive rooms, incorporating cutting-edge special effects, lighting, animatronics, and live actors to craft an utterly immersive and spine-chilling encounter.

This thrilling experience reimagines iconic scenes from the second film, with various “easter eggs” and nods to the first film and first escape experience. The lobby area is also home to a multitude of props from the actual set, such as the bikes the children rode in the film and the letter from Stanley featured at the end of the film, as well as the authentic Pennywise costume.

In addition to the escape experiences, Escape IT Chapter Two includes carnival-style midway games and a full-scale “IT” themed retail store complete with photo ops and exclusive custom merchandise.

“It’s been such a thrill working with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Themed Entertainment and having them trust me with their characters and story and be able to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to the city of Las Vegas,” said Jason Egan, owner of Egan Escape Productions. “We are driven by our dedication to crafting the most imaginative and engaging encounters, and this latest venture promises to be our most chilling offering yet. Prepare to be greeted by Pennywise the Dancing Clown as you step into the eeriness of the town of Derry.”

Ticket prices vary, with general admission starting at $54.99 and VIP private game tickets at $74.99.  For more information, please visit EscapeIT.com

Radio Silence No Longer Attached to ‘Escape From New York’

Published

on

Radio Silence has certainly had its ups and downs over the past year. First, they said they wouldn’t be directing another sequel to Scream, but their movie Abigail became a box office hit among critics and fans. Now, according to Comicbook.com, they won’t be pursuing the Escape From New York reboot that was announced late last year.

Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin are the duo behind the directing/production team. They talked with Comicbook.com and when questioned about Escape From New York project, Gillett gave this answer:

“We are not, unfortunately. I think titles like that bounce around for a while and I think they’ve tried to get that out of the blocks a few times. I think it’s just ultimately a tricky rights issue thing. There’s a clock on it and we just weren’t in a position to make the clock, ultimately. But who knows? I think, in hindsight, it feels crazy that we would think we would, post-Scream, step into a John Carpenter franchise. You never know. There’s still interest in it and we’ve had a few conversations about it but we’re not attached in any official capacity.”

Radio Silence has yet to announce any of its upcoming projects.

Shelter in Place, New ‘A Quiet Place: Day One’ Trailer Drops

Published

on

The third installment of the A Quiet Place franchise is set to release only in theaters on June 28. Even though this one is minus John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, it still looks terrifyingly magnificent.

This entry is said to be a spin-off and not a sequel to the series, although it’s technically more a prequel. The wonderful Lupita Nyong’o takes center stage in this movie, along with Joseph Quinn as they navigate through New York City under siege by bloodthirsty aliens.

The official synopsis, as if we need one, is “Experience the day the world went quiet.” This, of course, refers to the quick-moving aliens who are blind but have an enhanced sense of hearing.

Under the direction of Michael Sarnoski (Pig) this apocalyptic suspense thriller will be released the same day as the first chapter in Kevin Costner’s three-part epic western Horizon: An American Saga.

Which one will you see first?
