THE BINDING – DVD & BLU-RAY

A young woman’s faith is put to the ultimate test when she is forced to uncover the truth behind her husband’s horrific visions.
bite
While on her bachelorette party getaway, bride-to be Casey (Elma Begovic) gets a seemingly harmless bite from an unknown insect. After returning home with cold feet, Casey tries to call off her wedding… but before she’s able to, she starts exhibiting insect-like traits. Brought to the breaking point by both her ongoing physical transformation and her wedding anxiety, Casey succumbs to her horrifying new instincts. As her metamorphosis becomes complete, the bugged bride and all who cross her path discover that everything can change with a single bite.
invasion
One by one, the residents of San Francisco are becoming drone-like shadows of their former selves. As the phenomenon spreads, two Department of Health workers, Matthew (Sutherland) and Elizabeth (Adams), uncover the horrifying truth: Mysterious pods are cloning humans and destroying the originals! The unworldly invasion grows stronger with each passing minute, hurling Matthew and Elizabeth into a desperate race to save not only their own lives, but the future of the entire human race.
most likely to die
A group of former classmates gather for a pre-party at one of their homes the night before their 10-year high school reunion. One by one, they are brutally slain in a manner befitting each of their senior yearbook superlatives. As the body count climbs, Gaby is forced to admit that one of her friends may be a psychotic killer. But who? The Jock? The Class President? The Prankster? With their numbers dwindling, suspicion and mistrust pit friend against friend in a deadly race against time. At this reunion it doesn’t matter what you were voted as in high school… Now everyone is Most Likely To Die!
the night visitor
A powerful Gothic suspense tale of a man wrongly accused of murder, who is committed to an asylum for the criminally insane. While imprisoned, he makes a series of incredible escapes to methodically wreak vengeance on those responsible for putting him there.
observance
From its gloomy opening to its tragic conclusion, Observance is a film that captivates the viewer with an inescapable sense of dread rarely felt in contemporary horror. Directed by Joseph Sims-Dennett, the film stands as a testament to Australia s growing movie industry and the versatility of horror films. Borrowing from both classic sources, like Hitchcock, and relatively recent inspirations, like Takashi Shimizu, Joseph has managed to create a patient thriller that knows exactly when to start the scares…Channeling the best of classic voyeur films like Rear Window while still clinging firmly to its horror roots with some terrifying moments that would make David Cronenberg proud, Observance presents us with a cleverly paced ride into madness. –Bloody Disgusting
panzer
When a group of students discover a Nazi bunker in their search for stolen art, all hell breaks loose when they find out it is Guarded by something so terrifying, you’ll wish it was just a nightmare! But what makes Panzer so unique is that the film is interactive. Using a cellphone app, Panzer becomes much more than anything you’ve ever seen. Utilizing your phone’s camera, speaker, and other options, Panzer extends into the real world.
the suffering
Property appraiser Henry Dawles must fight for his sanity when he finds himself trapped on a rural farm owned by mysterious caretaker, Mr. Remiel. As the threat to Henry escalates, he is forced to face the horror of the farm and uncover the dark mysteries of Remiel, and the sinister beings he encounters.
summer camp
Four American counselors at a European summer camp must deal with the outbreak of a rage-inducing plague that starts in the animals.
viral
Teenaged sisters Emma (Sofia Black-D’Elia) and Stacey (Analeigh Tipton) live a normal life, until their small suburban neighborhood is stricken with mysterious parasitic virus. As the disease rapidly spreads throughout the town, the two band together to barricade themselves from infection. But it may already be too late – when the virus enters their home, the sisters are faced with an impossible choice: protect each other, or survive the virus.

Yay or Nay: What’s Good and Bad in Horror This Week

Published

on

Horror Movies

Welcome to Yay or Nay a weekly mini post about what I think is good and bad news in the horror community written in bite-sized chunks.

Yay:

Mike Flanagan talking about directing the next chapter in the Exorcist trilogy. That might mean he saw the last one and realized there were two left and if he does anything well it’s draw out a story.

Yay:

To the announcement of a new IP-based film Mickey Vs Winnie. It’s fun to read comical hot takes from people who haven’t even seen the movie yet.

Nay:

The new Faces of Death reboot gets an R rating. It’s not really fair — Gen-Z should get an unrated version like past generations so they can question their mortality the same as the rest of us did.

Yay:

Russell Crowe is doing another possession movie. He’s quickly becoming another Nic Cage by saying yes to every script, bringing the magic back to B-movies, and more money into VOD.

Nay:

Putting The Crow back in theaters for its 30th anniversary. Re-releasing classic movies at the cinema to celebrate a milestone is perfectly fine, but doing so when the lead actor in that film was killed on set due to neglect is a cash grab of the worst kind.

The Top-Searched Free Horror/Action Movies on Tubi This Week

Published

on

The free streaming service Tubi is a great place to scroll when you’re unsure what to watch. They are not sponsored or affiliated with iHorror. Still, we really appreciate their library because it’s so robust and has many obscure horror movies so rare you can’t find them anywhere in the wild except, if you’re lucky, in a moist cardboard box at a yard sale. Other than Tubi, where else are you going to find Nightwish (1990), Spookies (1986), or The Power (1984)?

We take a look at the most searched horror titles on the platform this week, hopefully, to save you some time in your endeavor to find something free to watch on Tubi.

Interestingly at the top of the list is one of the most polarizing sequels ever made, the female-led Ghostbusters reboot from 2016. Perhaps viewers have seen the latest sequel Frozen Empire and are curious about this franchise anomaly. They will be happy to know it’s not as bad as some think and is genuinely funny in spots.

So take a look at the list below and tell us if you are interested in any of them this weekend.

Morticia & Wednesday Addams Join Monster High Skullector Series

Published

on

Believe it or not, Mattel’s Monster High doll brand has an immense following with both young and not-so-young collectors.

In that same vein, the fan base for The Addams Family is also very large. Now, the two are collaborating to create a line of collectible dolls that celebrate both worlds and what they have created is a combination of fashion dolls and goth fantasy. Forget Barbie, these ladies know who they are.

The dolls are based on Morticia and Wednesday Addams from the 2019 Addams Family animated movie.

As with any niche collectibles these aren’t cheap they bring with them a $90 price tag, but it’s an investment as a lot of these toys become more valuable over time.

“There goes the neighborhood. Meet the Addams Family’s ghoulishly glamorous mother-daughter duo with a Monster High twist. Inspired by the animated movie and clad in spiderweb lace and skull prints, the Morticia and Wednesday Addams Skullector doll two-pack makes for a gift that’s so macabre, it’s downright pathological.”

If you want to pre-purchase this set check out The Monster High website.
