Be still my nostalgic black heart; Goosebumps 2 has been updated to a full on Horrorland fest!
After the success of 2015’s theatrical hit Goosebumps movie that starred the hilarious Jack Black as the one and only nightmare-inducing kid’s author R.L. Stein that purged all of our favorite “Goosebumps” tales of terror into one hour and 43 mins of joyous popcorn terror, a sequel, of course, was announced shortly after; paving way for more “Goosebumps” favorites to get some screen time. Now today, we finally have a solid lead on the road to Goosebumps 2, and it’s the “scariest place on Earth’- well, according to seven-year-old me anyway, Horrorland!
Likely taken from inspiration where the last film ended- remember that abandoned amusement park at the end folks- and now with the working title as Goosebumps: Horrorland, Jack Black is scheduled to return as the quirky children’s horror author and Rob Letterman is also sitting back in the director’s chair. Goosebumps 2015 writer is also back working on the script.
While originally, Sony set the release for Goosebumps 2 in January 2018, the film has been pushed back officially to September 21, 2018. License Global Magazine recently released a set of promos for upcoming Sony films, and one of them being the teaser art for Goosebumps 2! Check it out below, Halloween is coming early next year folks!
