The trailer for the folk horror film “Lord of Misrule” has been unveiled, offering a chilling glimpse into director William Brent Bell‘s latest creation. Lord of Misrule Official Trailer

Set against the backdrop of a small town with a dark past, the film revolves around Rebecca Holland, portrayed by Tuppence Middleton from “Mank.” Rebecca, who recently takes over the parish church, faces every parent’s nightmare when her young daughter mysteriously disappears during a winter festival. As the search intensifies, the town’s haunting secrets come to light. The plot thickens, forcing Rebecca to confront the chilling question: “How much is she willing to sacrifice to rescue her daughter from the grip of evil?”

Bell’s enthusiasm for the project is palpable. He commented, “It is so rare to find such well-developed, culturally relevant, and beautifully dark material as ‘Lord of Misrule’. Tom de Ville’s wicked script has given us the foundation to build the kind of talented cast and crew who will bring to life a film that will haunt audiences for years to come.”
