‘Black Mirror’ Coming Back to Netflix for Season 7

Published

on

Get ready to become even more afraid of our ever advancing technology. According to Variety.com, the good people at Netflix have been kind enough to renew Black Mirror for a seventh season. Which is a smart move on the part of Netflix. After Black Mirror left Channel 4 for Netflix, the show has been bringing in big numbers for the streaming giant.

Charlie Brooker (Dead Set) gives us a unique look into the horrors of technology and social life in a way that hasn’t been done since the original Twilight Zone. And fans can’t seem to get enough of this terribly bleak version of the future. Season 6 of the show enjoyed an entire month in the top ten streaming programs on Netflix last year.

Outside of the renewal, there isn’t much information about season 7 of this dystopian nightmare. Casting information, number of episodes, and themes are all unknown at this time. But given the current state of the world that we live in, I am sure that Charlie Brooker will have plenty of inspiration for new ways to fill us all with anxiety.

That’s all the information we have for you at this time. Make sure to check back here for updates and all of your horror news.

First Look: On Set of ‘Welcome to Derry’ & Interview with Andy Muschietti

Published

on

Rising from the sewers, drag performer and horror movie enthusiast The Real Elvirus took her fans behind the scenes of the MAX series Welcome to Derry in an exclusive hot-set tour. The show is scheduled to release sometime in 2025, but a firm date has not been set.

Filming is taking place in Canada in Port Hope, a stand-in for the fictional New England town of Derry located within the Stephen King universe. The sleepy location has been transformed into a township from the 1960s.

Welcome to Derry is the prequel series to director Andrew Muschietti’s two-part adaptation of King’s It. The series is interesting in that it’s not only about It, but all the people who live in Derry — which includes some iconic characters from the King ouvre.

Elvirus, dressed as Pennywise, tours the hot set, careful not to reveal any spoilers, and speaks with Muschietti himself, who reveals exactly how to pronounce his name: Moose-Key-etti.

The comical drag queen was given an all-access pass to the location and uses that privilege to explore props, facades and interview crew members. It’s also revealed that a second season is already greenlit.

Take a look below and let us know what you think. And are you looking forward to the MAX series Welcome to Derry?

Travis Kelce Joins Cast on Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’

Published

Football star Travis Kelce is going Hollywood. At least that is what Dahmer Emmy award-winning star Niecy Nash-Betts announced on her Instagram page yesterday. She posted a video of herself on set of the new Ryan Murphy FX series Grotesquerie.

“This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️ @killatrav Welcome to Grostequerie[sic]!” she wrote.

Standing just out of frame is Kelce who suddenly steps in to say, “Jumping into new territory with Niecy!” Nash-Betts appears to be in a hospital gown while Kelce is dressed as an orderly.

Not much is known about Grotesquerie, other than in literary terms it means a work filled with both science fiction and extreme horror elements. Think H.P. Lovecraft.

Back in February Murphy released an audio teaser for Grotesquerie on social media. In it, Nash-Betts says in part, “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness…”

There hasn’t been an official synopsis released regarding Grotesquerie, but keep checking back to iHorror for further details.
