The Live in The Grey

AMC’s all horror/thriller streaming service, Shudder, has announced that They Live in The Grey will make its debut next year.

Brothers Burlee and Abel Vang  (Bedeviled) co-wrote and co-directed the film which will star Michelle Krusiec (Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood) as Claire, “a young social worker who must stop a supernatural entity that is tormenting the family that she was investigating in order to save the parents from losing the custody of their child.”

Krusiec is joined in the cast by Ken Kirby (Good Trouble), Ellen Wroe (Final Destination 5), Madelyn Grace (Don’t Breathe 2), and J.R. Cacia (S.W.A.T.).

“The Vang Brothers have crafted a stylish, scary chiller, easily one of the year’s most frightening films, led by a gripping central performance from Michelle Krusiec as Claire. We’re thrilled to invite Shudder members to see through Claire’s eyes and peer into that fascinating and haunting space between life and death,” said Craig Engler, general manager of Shudder.

“Most horror films with Asian leads are foreign films. We’re proud and excited to tell an Asian-American horror story – something you don’t often see,” added the Vang Brothers. “We can’t imagine a better partner than Shudder to help us bring this Asian-American narrative to the horror genre.”

Shudder will debut They Live in The Grey in 2022 across all of its territories in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

New ‘The Watchers’ Trailer Adds More to the Mystery

Published

on

Although the trailer is almost double its original, there is still nothing we can glean from The Watchers other than a harbinger parrot who loves to say, “Try not to die.” But what do you expect this is a Shyamalan project, Ishana Night Shyamalan to be exact.

She is the daughter of twist-ending prince director M. Night Shyamalan who also has a movie coming out this year. And just like her father, Ishana is keeping everything mysterious in her movie trailer.

“You can’t see them, but they see everything,” is the tagline for this movie.

They tell us in the synopsis: “The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.”

The Watchers opens theatrically on June 7.

“A small town is shaken by a series of ominous killings in the days leading up to a heated mayoral election.”
