‘The Pope’s Exorcist’ New Featurette Starring Russell Crowe

A recently released featurette offers a sneak peek into the highly anticipated movie, The Pope’s Exorcist, which portrays the remarkable life of Father Gabriele Amorth.

He was the Vatican’s chief exorcist and conducted over 100,000 exorcisms during his lifetime before passing away at the age of 91 in 2016.

Amorth chronicled his encounters with demonic possessions in his two memoirs, “An Exorcist Tells His Story” and “An Exorcist: More Stories.” These books provide chilling accounts of his battles against Satan and malevolent spirits that had taken hold of individuals.

The Pope’s Exorcist will be released this April and is rated R for “Violent content, language, sexual references, and some nudity.”

The upcoming movie cast includes – Franco Nero, known for his roles in Django and John Wick: Chapter 2, will play the title role of the Pope. Russell Crowe will star as the real-life exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth. The film also boasts a talented supporting cast, including Laurel Marsden of Ms. Marvel fame, Cornell S. John from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Peter DeSouza-Feighoney, Alex Essoe from Doctor Sleep, and Daniel Zovatto from It Follows.
