‘The Ghoulies’ Are Coming Out to Play in 4K UHD

The Ghoulies is heading to 4k UHD later this year. That’s right, y’all these little hell beings are fixing to “get you in the end” as they had always planned. Plus, 4K is the best they have ever looked doing it. So, this is your chance to own em once and for all.

This release is part of the MVD Rewind Collection that comes with all the old school video store art and stickers to boot.

We are really excited to get this one and are even more excited at the possibility of owning Ghoulies 2 in 4K eventually. Especially if its another MVD Rewind Collection release.

The synopsis for The Ghoulies goes like this:

As a child, Jonathan (Peter Liapis) was almost killed by his father, Malcolm (Michael Des Barres), during a satanic ritual. After being saved and raised by Wolfgang (Jack Nance), who has kept him unaware of his background, Jonathan inherits Malcolm’s house and moves in with girlfriend Rebecca (Lisa Pelikan). During a party, he jokingly performs a ceremony described in one of his father’s books on black magic, not realizing he has unleashed small, demonic creatures known as “Ghoulies.”

The upcoming sequel “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3” is officially moving forward, promising an expanded narrative with a larger budget and the introduction of beloved characters from A.A. Milne’s original tales. As confirmed by Variety, the third installment in the horror franchise will welcome Rabbit, the heffalumps, and the woozles into its dark and twisted narrative.

This sequel is a part of an ambitious cinematic universe that reimagines children’s stories as horror tales. Alongside “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” and its first sequel, the universe includes films such as “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare”, “Bambi: The Reckoning,” and “Pinocchio Unstrung”.
