“Stranger Things” Gears Up for a Thrilling Final Season

Stranger Things Season 5

Fans of Stranger Things, brace yourselves! The much-anticipated final season is shaping up to be a rollercoaster, and we’ve got some juicy tidbits to share.

First off, the director’s chair will see a new face join the team. Dan Trachtenberg, the genius behind 10 Cloverfield Lane and Prey, is hopping on board. He’s super pumped about his episode, saying, “I have read my episode, and I had been prepping the episode before the strike. I can tell you that it’s awesome.” Chatting with Variety, he couldn’t help but praise the Duffer brothers, the masterminds of the series. “The Duffer brothers are incredible, and we have so much in common. With this being the last season and hearing a little bit about what could be an episode I could do, I got excited.”

Trachtenberg assures fans that this season won’t have any dull moments. In his words, “I don’t think [Stranger Things] falls into a category of television seasons like Game of Thrones where the pilot is cool, slows down, and the last two episodes are the big battle. I can tell you, and pointing to other seasons, there is rock and roll throughout the entire season.”

David Harbour in Stranger Things

David Harbour, our beloved Hopper, also chimed in with his thoughts. He promises that the final season will tug at our heartstrings, calling it “moving.” He spilled some beans about the scripts, saying, “Before the strike, we were sent scripts. They’re terrific, as per usual. They continue to outdo themselves, these currently-on-strikes writers, called the Duffer brothers. It’s a hell of an undertaking, too. The set pieces and the things in the scripts that we saw are bigger than anything we’ve done in the past.” Reflecting on the end of Season 4, he teased, “You gotta imagine where it starts, after where Season 4 ended, you watch us on that hill looking at the ash and the smoke, fires. And we’re gonna start somewhere after that, so you gotta imagine that the world is a different place. It’s great, it’ll take a while to shoot, which’ll be tough, since we can’t get started yet, but it is what it is.”

Harbour’s enthusiasm is evident as he continued, “I’m excited to go back, I’m excited to wrap it up in a bold, amazing way. I’m excited to really swing with this character, because you know that they’re gonna pay off these O.G. characters — Eleven, Hopper, Joyce, Will, Mike — they’re gonna pay them off in big ways because they’ve lived with you for the past eight years.”

Stranger Things Season 5 – What We Know So Far

Hawkins in Chaos – The town is in turmoil after Vecna’s move to bridge the Upside Down with the real world. As the town spirals into chaos, mirroring the eerie Upside Down, a significant military intervention is on the horizon. With the town’s fate hanging in the balance, what role will our beloved characters play?

Eleven vs. Vecna: The Showdown – After a narrow escape from death, Vecna is back, and a showdown with Eleven seems inevitable. With the fate of Hawkins at stake, will Eleven’s powers be enough to thwart Vecna’s sinister plans?

Quarantine Alert! – Given the looming threats from the Upside Down, rumors are swirling that Hawkins might be quarantined. With potential martial law and a town in panic, the stage is set for a gripping narrative.

Spotlight on Will Byers – The Duffer Brothers have hinted at a central role for Will Byers in the upcoming season. His journey promises to be a pivotal element that could tie the entire series together.

The Fate of Eleven and Max – Speculations are rife about Eleven’s potential sacrifice to seal the gates to the Upside Down. Meanwhile, Max’s fate hangs in the balance as she remains in a coma. Will she wake up to join the final battle?

A Leap in Time – The storyline is expected to fast-forward, possibly resuming around 1988 or 1989. This time skip aligns with the real-life ages of the actors, adding a touch of authenticity to the narrative.

The production status for the fifth season is labeled as ‘delayed’. While filming was slated to commence in May 2023, strikes have thrown a wrench in the plans. However, set building has been in full swing, hinting at the scale of the upcoming season.

Travis Kelce Joins Cast on Ryan Murphy’s ‘Grotesquerie’

Published

Football star Travis Kelce is going Hollywood. At least that is what Dahmer Emmy award-winning star Niecy Nash-Betts announced on her Instagram page yesterday. She posted a video of herself on set of the new Ryan Murphy FX series Grotesquerie.

“This is what happens when WINNERS link up‼️ @killatrav Welcome to Grostequerie[sic]!” she wrote.

Standing just out of frame is Kelce who suddenly steps in to say, “Jumping into new territory with Niecy!” Nash-Betts appears to be in a hospital gown while Kelce is dressed as an orderly.

Not much is known about Grotesquerie, other than in literary terms it means a work filled with both science fiction and extreme horror elements. Think H.P. Lovecraft.

Back in February Murphy released an audio teaser for Grotesquerie on social media. In it, Nash-Betts says in part, “I don’t know when it started, I can’t put my finger on it, but it’s different now. There’s been a shift, like something’s opening up in the world — a kind of hole that descends into a nothingness…”

There hasn’t been an official synopsis released regarding Grotesquerie, but keep checking back to iHorror for further details.
