Stephen King Praises New ‘Creepshow’ Series

by Paul Aloisio

Shudder’s reboot of Creepshow has been in the works for what seems like forever now, and it looks like that wait has paid off. Disappointment after long periods of teasing is not uncommon in the genre – unfortunate, yes, but undeniably true – so it’s always a relief when a project lives up to the hype.

Stephen King seems to really enjoy this new version of Creepshow, giving it some seriously high praise.

The author took to Twitter to give some high praise to a project he had close involvement with many, many years ago:

The first episode of CREEPSHOW (on Shudder) is a really excellent re-boot of the movie George and I made back in the day. God bless Adrienne, and my God, so many Easter eggs!

I’ve said it many times before, but it bears repeating: we are truly living in a golden era of Stephen King adaptations. Add this to the list of horrific delights and get ready for yet another film being released next week on Netflix – In The Tall Grass.

You can watch the show on Shudder by following the link here. You’ll need a subscription to continue, but those curious can start a free 7-day trial before making the full commitment.

Have you seen the first episode of Creepshow yet? If so, let us know what you think. Does it live up to King’s praise or is it a dud for you?
