Spirit

The trailer for Spirit Halloween: The Movie is finally here. It immediately checks off all those boxes of Monster Squad meets Goosebumps that you would hope for. It features a group of kiddos on bikes who end up stuck inside a store. Of course, they are also trapped with all kinds of curses and monsters.

The latest Spirit Halloween: The Movie reveals the big baddie of the movie is an evil Christopher Lloyd who is at fault for taking possession of the animatronics inside the Spirit store. That explains why everything including the possessed girl sounds slightly like Lloyd.

The synopsis for Spirit Halloween: The Movie goes like this:

“When a new pop-up Halloween store opens in a deserted strip mall, three middle school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick or treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids will need to embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.”

The film stars Christopher Lloyd, Rachael Leigh Cook, Marla Gibbs, and a fantastic cast of up-and-coming talent, including Donovan Colan, Marissa Reyes, Jaiden J. Smith and Dylan Martin Frankel in a film directed by David Poag.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie arrives on October 11 on VOD.

New ‘The Watchers’ Trailer Adds More to the Mystery

Published

on

Although the trailer is almost double its original, there is still nothing we can glean from The Watchers other than a harbinger parrot who loves to say, “Try not to die.” But what do you expect this is a Shyamalan project, Ishana Night Shyamalan to be exact.

She is the daughter of twist-ending prince director M. Night Shyamalan who also has a movie coming out this year. And just like her father, Ishana is keeping everything mysterious in her movie trailer.

“You can’t see them, but they see everything,” is the tagline for this movie.

They tell us in the synopsis: “The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night.”

The Watchers opens theatrically on June 7.
