Alien Storm, the new sci-fi horror thriller from Mahal Empire Productions, is officially available to rent or own on Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV, giving genre fans a fresh alien-invasion nightmare to sink their teeth into this summer.

Alien Storm is available now for digital rental or purchase:

What’s It About?

Frank McConnelly (Robert Standley) is a loving husband, devoted father, and wildly successful businessman with a secret: he’s been quietly preparing for the end of the world. To celebrate taking his company public, Frank throws the party of the year at his sprawling Las Vegas mansion, inviting friends, family, and colleagues for a night of celebration and excess.

The party doesn’t last. The President of the United States interrupts with an emergency address, warning citizens to shelter in place as a strange weather phenomenon knocks out communications in major cities across the globe. Moments later, the power dies, and a massive, impenetrable fog bank swallows the estate whole.

That’s when Frank reveals his greatest secret: hidden beneath the mansion is a fully self-contained underground bunker, complete with a yard, a pool, and everything needed to survive the unthinkable. His guests are stunned, but safe.

Or so they think.

Because something ancient and alien is stirring in that fog, and it’s hungry. As the presence closes in, Frank and his guests are forced to fight for their lives against a threat no amount of prepping could have predicted.

The storm is here. Who will survive?

The Cast

Alien Storm brings together a lineup of familiar genre faces, including:

  • Robert Standley as Frank McConnelly
  • Laura Mason as Ophelia McConnelly
  • Tom Arnold (True Lies) as Mayor Walker
  • Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys) as the President of the USA
  • Glenn Plummer (Sons of Anarchy) as Major Haines
  • Greg Tally as Solomon Justice
  • Wesley Cannon as Paul

The film also features cameos from WWE legends The Godfather and D’Lo Brown, along with a supporting cast that rounds out the mansion-turned-bunker survival story.

Behind the Camera

Alien Storm is directed by Adam Werth, whose previous genre credits include Devil’s Knight and Bermuda Island. Werth has built a reputation for tense, visually driven independent films, and he calls this his most ambitious project yet, using a glittering Las Vegas backdrop to tell a story about the illusion of control and what happens when even the most prepared person meets something they can’t plan for.

The film is produced by brothers Sonny Mahal and Michael Mahal of Mahal Empire Productions, an independent studio focused on bold, entertaining genre fare. The Mahal brothers have described wanting to blend classic sci-fi tension with a gritty, locked-in thriller environment, promising nonstop suspense from a cast that brings the claustrophobic nightmare to life.

Director’s Statement

“When I set out to make Alien Storm, I wanted to explore something deeply human—the illusion of control,” says director Adam Werth. “Frank McConnelly has spent years preparing for the worst, building something extraordinary beneath the surface. And yet, nothing he’s done can fully prepare him for what arrives in that fog. That tension between preparation and helplessness is at the heart of this film. I also wanted to make something that felt genuinely fun and scary at the same time. Las Vegas is the perfect setting—a city that never sleeps, built on excess and spectacle. When the lights go out there, the darkness means something. We had an incredible cast who brought real heart to this story, and I’m proud of what we created together. I hope audiences buckle up and enjoy the ride.”
