You know a comedy horror movie is highly anticipated when all the genre news sites are talking about it. Such is the case for the reboot of Return of the Living Dead, a new version of the 1985 original. Bloody Disgusting featured some first-look images (thank you) of the film, and now the time has come for a teaser that will drop tomorrow (Dec. 13).
There is also an official website selling merch and whatnot. JoBlo posted a brief explanation of where director Steve Wolsh is taking his version:
“Our reboot of Return of the Living Dead will expand the existing world created by the original [five] films, while staying true to the R-rated, sci-fi, horror, dark comedy roots adored by fans of the cult classic around the world for the last 35 years. We are excited to resurrect this storied franchise for current fans and new generations of zombie fans.

There have been three sequels to the original film, but none are as iconic as the first. Of all the zombie movies that have become cult classics, Return of the Living Dead might be the most beloved. The line “More Brains!” originated from the film and has become a generational catchphrase.
