Like The Avengers of the dream world, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors saw a group of victims known as the “Elm Street kids” who go up against Freddy Krueger in an attempt to end his rampage. Each has their own special powers in the dream world, Kristen, played by Patricia Arquette, has extraordinary gymnastic skills.
It’s been almost 40 years since Arquette played Kristen; Tuesday Night would replace her in part four. But, if by some miracle, the Craven estate were to release the rights to A Nightmare on Elm Street, Arquette says she would return if asked, but with a major modification to her character.
“Can I change my superpower?” she asked in an interview with ComicBook.com. “Maybe I’ll come back if I can change my superpower, but I mean, I don’t know. I can be invisible; I can be anti-gravitational. I can do all kinds of things. Why do I have to do gymnastics? I like gymnastics don’t get me wrong, but I’d like something a little more lethal when I’m dealing with him.”
Dream Warriors was a popular entry in the Elm Street films. It was directed by Chuck Russell who went on to do The Mask, and written by Shawshank Redemption’s Frank Darabont. Original Freddy final girl, Heather Lagenkamp also returned as Nancy.
