Who owns iHorror

iHorror is independently owned and operated by iHorror.com, and has published since 2012. We are not owned by a studio, distributor, streaming service, production company, or media conglomerate. No outside party holds editorial control over what we publish.

Who writes it

iHorror is produced by a team of more than a dozen contributors. Every writer has a byline and an author page listing what they have written for us.

How we make money

Advertising. We run display advertising. Advertisers have no access to our editorial process, no advance notice of coverage, and no ability to request, block, or influence a story.

Affiliate links. Some articles contain affiliate links — most often to Amazon, where we participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, and to Entertainment Earth. If you buy something through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top of the page, applied automatically rather than left to a writer’s discretion. We link to products because we think they are worth knowing about, and a commission never buys a recommendation.

Our newsletter. The iHorror newsletter is free. We do not sell subscriber data.

Advertising and affiliate commissions are our only sources of revenue.

What we don’t do

We do not accept payment for coverage. We do not publish paid or sponsored articles. We do not accept payment to remove or alter a published article. We do not allow advertisers to review stories before publication.
