Over Two Dozen Schoolgirls Hospitalized After Playing With Ouija

The New York Post reported that nearly 30 Columbian schoolgirls had to be hospitalized after collectively playing with a spirit board. The youths experienced mental distress and other cognitive impairments after the session.

Hugo Torres, head of the Galeras Educational Institution in Galeras, said “There were 28 possible cases of anxiety in school students.” The story was run in Jam Press according to The Post.
The item became a big part of the March 9 alternative news cycle with many outlets, including FOX News, running with it.
It all happened at the Galeras Educational Institution. Alarm bells went off after a mass spell of fainting, anxiety, and other worrisome symptoms overtook the girls and they had to be transported to the municipal hospital by the faculty.

Of course, a concrete diagnosis has yet to be reported, but parents of the children are blaming a Ouija board for the incident. Columbia has a long history and superstitions have been passed down for centuries. For every village, there is probably a ghost story shrouded in magic and mystery.
“I work here in a hospital kiosk and every day I see three or four children arrive after fainting,” said one mother of a victim. “Parents, you have to move, investigate what’s happening at school, because our children cannot continue in this situation.”
She added, “Our children always have a good breakfast and it cannot be said that what’s happening is due to lack of food.”
Torres is being a little more scientific about the whole situation, “Given the reported cases, a series of comments were unleashed on the community that, rather than helping to resolve the situation, led to confusion and an adverse environment for our work,” he said.

“The school is waiting for the medical diagnoses to provide further reliable information,” said Torres, who hopes the community will stop jumping to otherworldy conclusions.
The school hasn’t publicly released the reason for the mass illness and there has been no word on if a police investigation is warranted.

A Sequel to the Vertigo-Inducing ‘Fall’ is Now in the Works

Fall was a surprise hit last year. The film saw two daredevils climb up an isolated radio tower only to be trapped at the top of the tower for the remainder of the film. The film was terrifying in an all-new sort of way. If you are afraid of heights the film was nearly unwatchable. I for one can relate. It was entirely terrifying throughout. Now Fall has a sequel in the works that will undoubtedly see more gravity-defying terror.
Scott Mann and the producers at Tea Shop Productions are all in the early stages of the brainstorming phase.
“We’ve got a couple of ideas we’re kicking around … We don’t want to make something that feels like a copycat or less than the first one.“ Producer James Harris said.
The synopsis for Fall went like this:
For best friends Becky and Hunter, life is all about conquering fears and pushing limits. However, after they climb 2,000 feet to the top of a remote, abandoned radio tower, they find themselves stranded with no way down. Now, their expert climbing skills are put to the ultimate test as they desperately fight to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and vertigo-inducing heights.
Did you see Fall? Did you see it in theaters? It was an all-out terrifying experience for some. How did you feel about it? Let us know in the comments section.
We will be sure to keep you in the loop for future updates on the Fall sequel.
