Sexy Beasts

We are already absolutely fascinated with this Netflix dating series. Usually, we wouldn’t find a dating show exactly, horror relevant news, but in this case it is! The singles in this blind dating series, titled Sexy Beasts are all disguised in top of the line, prosthetic makeup through their dates and aren’t allowed to reveal their true faces until the end. Again, we are already obsessed

The idea behind the brand new Netflix dating series, is taking the “beauty is only skin deep,” idea to a whole new fascinating level. They are achieving this by applying prosthetics to their singles based on personality traits. They are then matched with another single who is also disguised in prosthetics and they are sent out on dates to see if they find true love. If the person sitting across from you was perfect, personality wise but they were dressed as a scarecrow or alien, would it be possible to put looks aside, and fall in love?

The official synopsis for the wild ass, Sexy Beasts series goes like this:

Hoping to say goodbye to superficial dating, real-life singles sport elaborate makeup and prosthetics to put true blind-date chemistry to the test.

The makeup is seriously fantastic! Each single looks like they were on that effects based series, Face Off. I’m already fascinated with this show for so many damn reasons. Is love truly blind? I personally would be falling in love with the effects artists working on the series. These prothetics are already works of art.

Sexy Beasts arrives on Netflix on July 21 and we are dying to watch.

‘Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3’ Is a Go with Enhanced Budget and New Characters

Winnie the Pooh 3

Wow, they’re churning things out fast! The upcoming sequel “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 3” is officially moving forward, promising an expanded narrative with a larger budget and the introduction of beloved characters from A.A. Milne’s original tales. As confirmed by Variety, the third installment in the horror franchise will welcome Rabbit, the heffalumps, and the woozles into its dark and twisted narrative.

This sequel is a part of an ambitious cinematic universe that reimagines children’s stories as horror tales. Alongside “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” and its first sequel, the universe includes films such as “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare”, “Bambi: The Reckoning,” and “Pinocchio Unstrung”. These movies are set to converge in the crossover event “Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble,” slated for a 2025 release.

Winnie the Pooh Poohniverse

The creation of these films was made possible when A.A. Milne’s 1926 children’s book “Winnie-the-Pooh” entered the public domain last year, allowing filmmakers to explore these cherished characters in unprecedented ways. Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield and producer Scott Jeffrey Chambers, of Jagged Edge Productions, have led the charge in this innovative endeavor.

The inclusion of Rabbit, heffalumps, and woozles in the upcoming sequel introduces a new layer to the franchise. In Milne’s original stories, heffalumps are imagined creatures resembling elephants, while woozles are known for their weasel-like characteristics and a penchant for stealing honey. Their roles in the narrative remain to be seen, but their addition promises to enrich the horror universe with deeper connections to the source material.
