It could be hype, it could be genuine or it could be nothing at all, but Netflix dropped the movie Run Rabbit Run this week and it has social media abuzz with thoughts. Some of them say it is a terrifying piece of cinema.
We covered Run Rabbit Run at Sundance this year. Our own Waylon Jordan wrote the review and even he thought it was a “tense film,” although he also felt it relied too much on tropes.
But to the casual horror movie viewer, it might just be the one that makes them sleep with the lights on.

As we all know horror is subjective and you can’t really know if a movie is scary or not based on a few tweets. Also, if you consider how fast Netflix snatched this title up after Sundance, it’s got to say something about the quality. Netflix isn’t perfect when it comes to its own original horror content, but a lot of the time they get it right when purchasing others.
Here is the synopsis if you are interested: As a fertility doctor, Sarah has a firm understanding of the cycle of life. However, when she is forced to make sense of the increasingly strange behavior of her young daughter, Sarah must challenge her own beliefs and confront a ghost from her past.
So let us know, was Run Rabbit Run as scary as some people say, or is it, as one critic put it, “as terrifying as Night of the Lepus.”
