Halloween may be over, but the theatrical release of some horror, thriller, and crime movies is not.  Here’s a list of some of the more anticipated November films that will be available to watch on the big screen.

The Beta Test – November 5

Releasing on November 5th is The Beta Test, a horror thriller directed by Jim Cummings and PJ McCabe.  The Beta Test follows Jordan (Cummings), a married Hollywood agent who receives a mysterious letter for an anonymous sexual encounter and becomes entangled in a world of lying, infidelity, and digital data. Virginia Newcomb, Jessie Batt, PJ McCabe, and Kevin Changaris also star in this upcoming horror/thriller.

Ida Red – November 5

Also releasing on November 5th is the crime drama Ida Red written and directed by John Swab.  It’s the story of Ida “Red” Walker (Melissa Leo), who may not survive a terminal illness while incarcerated for armed robbery.
Desperate, Ida turns to her son, Wyatt (Josh Hartnett), for one last job and a chance to regain her freedom. Also starring in Ida Red are Frank Grillo, Sofia Hublitz, Mark Boone Junior, and Deborah Ann Woll.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife – November 19

The Ghostbusters franchise is coming back to life with Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a sequel to Ivan Reitman’s Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989).
Set 30 years after the events of the second movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife follows single mother Callie (Carrie Coon) and her children Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (McKenna Grace), who after being evicted from their home, move to a farm inherited from Callie’s late father (Harold Ramis’ Egon Spengler), located in Summerville, Oklahoma.
When the town experiences a series of unexplained earthquakes, Trevor and Phoebe discover their family’s link to the original Ghostbusters team and decide to continue their legacy by taking care of whatever is messing with Summerville, with the help of some of the old Ghostbusters’ equipment and Mr. Grooberson (Paul Rudd), a local seismologist. Ghostbusters: Afterlife will also count on the presence of the surviving members of the original team.

Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City – November 24

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is a survival horror movie written and directed by Johannes Roberts, adapted from the stories of the first and second games by Capcom, and serves as a reboot to the Resident Evil franchise.
Raccoon City was once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corp. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland, a dying town with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night. Starring are Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue, Neal McDonough, and Lily Gao.
