Monster: The Ed Gein Story on Netflix has its official release date of October 3rd, 2025!
The highly anticipated third season of the anthology series Monster is almost here. It is an understatement to say fans are beyond ready for it.
Within the same month as the release of Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, it was revealed the third installment would focus on serial killer Ed Gein. Furthermore, Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam will be heading up the project as the serial killer himself.

Monster: Charlie Hunnam?
The announcement of the blonde beefcake created a mix of reactions from fans, ranging from confusion to outrage. How could such a heart throb from the United Kingdom transform into the 51 year old, corn fed “Butcher of Plainfield”? Time would soon tell as pictures from the set slowly revealed the actor’s transformation.

Hunnam is know for his ruggedly handsome and muscular appearance. To portray Gein, Hunnam had to shave clean and comb over his hair, styling it into a 1950s appropriate style. Moreover, he also had to shed some of his signature brawn. Yet apparently not nearly enough of his muscles were reduced. Hunnam’s arms are still seen protruding at the deltoids and triceps in the latest promo pic, where he is hurling a chainsaw effortlessly over his head.

What We Know So Far
