Mike Flanagan just got finished blowing our minds again with Midnight Mass and already he is thinking what horror project he would like to work on next. The director that attaches effective sentimentality to true horror is thinking about what kind of horror would work for the Star Wars universe and we are behind him.

From Oculus to The Haunting of Hill House, Flanagan keeps making us love him more and more. His latest Tweet read, “Got woken up by the earthquake this morning, sat there a few minutes just thinking “I’d really love to make a horror movie in the Star Wars Universe”

Star Wars

A while back I had penend a piece about Star Wars horror novel series Galaxy Of Fear. It was a John Whitmen series that really put the meat and potatoes of horror in the Star Wars galaxy in a lot of fun ways. I collected the entire series and can attest to the fact that they work within the confines of Star Wars.

It would be great to see these books adapted. Or, if Flanagan wanted to write something entirely new to introduce horror the Star Wars cinematic universe that would be just fine.

Star, Rahul Kohli who played the Sheriff Hassan in Midnight Mass and Owen in The Haunting of Bly Manor immediately Tweeted back ” Oh, you’ve been reading my diary” along with a photo of a zombie infected storm trooper.

Kohli has become one of our favorite actors since Midnight Mass. If you aren’t following him on Twitter you definitely should. He is surely one of us, one of us. From his love of horror, to video games to comics. He has a deep love and appreciation for the fandom. It’s now my dream for him to play a starring role in one of iHorror’s future films. Keep us in mind, Rahul!

Star Wars and Mike Flanagan needs to happen. I feel like he will be as good if not better for Star Wars than Jon Favreau was.
