The social media book reading community kinda went crazy for Clown in a Cornfield when it was first published in 2020. It’s author Adam Cesare released a sequel in 2022 and a third is on the way.

The antagonist is yet another pancake makeup faced killer clown in the slasher horror space named Frendo.

Director Eli Craig is taking the story from page to screen and starting on May 9 you can see his version. If your going to SXSW you can see it first on March 10.

A new teaser was released today and you can check it out below. The film runs for 96 minutes and this is what you will experience within in that runtime:

“Quinn and her father have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.”
