Something interesting has been going down in Hollywood as of late. Quentin Tarantino recently decided to choose violence and began striking out at some of the acting talent. Now, Tarantino attacked several actors during his time on The Bret Eaton Ellis Podcast, but today, we are going to focus on the horror legend, Matthew Lillard.

Lillard has been an icon in horror for a long time. His career spans generations, entertaining fans in titles such as Scream, Scooby Doo, and most recently, Five Nights at Freddy’s. However, it would seem that Tarantino does not agree with fans and called Lillard’s acting performance into question.

Scooby Doo, Matthew Lillard

“Listen, the point is that hurts your feelings. It f***in’ sucks. And you wouldn’t say that to Tom Cruise. You wouldn’t say that to somebody who’s a top-line actor in Hollywood.” – Lillard

Luckily, while at Galaxy Con in Ohio, Lillard spoke about these attacks. “I’m very popular in this room. I’m not very popular in Hollywood. Two totally different microcosms, right? And so, you know, it’s humbling, and it hurts,” said Lillard.

So, where do we go from here? Well, this will likely cause various problems in the entertainment world. However, I am positive that the horror community will rally around our own and pour out our support for Lillard. Tarantino may have more clout at his disposal, but he could never provide the loving warmth that flows from Lillard into his audiences.
