Anya Taylor Joy’s upcoming Mad Max prequel, Furiosa is headed our way. The story will explore Furiosa’s origins. In this film, she will be captured by a biker gang where she will rise through the ranks to become the Imperator Furiosa that we saw in Mad Max: Fury Road. We won’t see the film in theaters until 2024 but the production is well underway. Recently, Chris Hemsworth was seen onset riding around in his big bad, killer monster truck.
The photo looks like a Bizarro world Thor. He has a giant beard and long hair, but it’s all dyed black with natural white streaks in it. Hemsworth is playing the big villain in Furiosa as Warlord Dementus.
Chris Hemsworth Brazil fan Instagram was first to get the photos up. Perhaps one of the best parts about Hemsworth’s villain look is the teddy bear that he has strapped to his vest. Very strange. We are curious if this will have a backstory in place. So many of Mad Max’s villains have been endlessly cool in their very awesome costumes. There was a plethora of them in Mad Max Fury Road.
We are hoping that Furiosa meets both the leader of Bullet Town, The Bullet Farmer and the head of Gas Town Scabrous Scrotus. Scrotus is also the son of Immortan Joe.
