Cinematographer-turned-director John R. Leonetti is gearing up for the release of his latest movie, Lullaby. If you have seen the first Annabelle movie or Butterfly Effect 2, you’re familiar with his directorial work. But his longer list lies behind the camera as a cinematographer.

He filmed movies such as The Mask, Dead Silence, Piranha 3D, The Conjuring, and Wish Upon. So he is no stranger to framing a great horror movie. Despite what you may think of his directorial offerings, his photography is astounding.

Although Lullaby isn’t shot by him, it definitely feels like he had an influence.

Actress Oona Chaplin plays the lead in Lullaby. The actress is having a stellar year, having been cast in the next upcoming Avatar sequels under the direction of James Cameron.

Here Chaplin plays a new mother who discovers a lullaby in an ancient book and soon regards the song as a blessing. But her world transforms into a nightmare when the lullaby brings forth the ancient demon Lilith.

Lullaby will be in theaters & On Demand December 16.
