Becky Hooper works for the CIA now. Two character teasers for The Last Temptation of Becky are out ahead of a November 4 theatrical release from Quiver Distribution, and they split the third film neatly in half: Lulu Wilson on one side, Neil Patrick Harris on the other.

Wilson’s half, titled “She’s Back,” is an inventory. Becky lays her weapons out one at a time, the way Ash Williams used to pack for a siege, then pulls on a jacket reading “Fuck Nazis.” The series has never been coy about its thesis.

The second, “Introducing Wilhelm,” hands the floor to Harris as Wilhelm Reuss, who holds up a key and talks about ushering in a Fourth Reich. Putting Harris opposite Wilson is the shrewdest casting this trilogy has managed since it gave the first film’s neo-Nazi to Kevin James. Harris is a genial presence by default, and that makes him considerably more unpleasant in the role than an obvious heavy would be.

Becky Goes to the Wolf’s Lair

Becky is a CIA field agent in this one, sent undercover to Poland, where a family of innkeepers runs a tourist operation at the Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s Eastern Front headquarters. When she works out that the family’s patriarch intends to use the place as a launch point for a Fourth Reich, she handles it the way Becky handles things.

Jenn Wexler Inherits the Trilogy

Jenn Wexler directs, after The Ranger in 2018 and The Sacrifice Game in 2023, and co-wrote the screenplay with Matt Angel. The story credit goes to Angel and Suzanne Coote, the pair who wrote and directed The Wrath of Becky and talked to iHorror about it in 2023. Kate Siegel, Brandon Flynn, Catherine Walker and James Urbaniak fill out the cast around Wilson, whose return was confirmed back in February.

It Was Shot in Northern Ireland

Principal photography wrapped in February in Northern Ireland, standing in for Poland, with Julia Swain behind the camera and a finished running time of 89 minutes. The film has also screened already: it premiered at Fantasia in Montreal on July 25, a little over three months before the November 4 release date these teasers are selling.

Quiver’s Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman said in announcing the date that “having Neil Patrick Harris facing off against Lulu Wilson will take this series to a whole new level, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what Becky has in store.”

No full trailer yet, and with a month to go there is still room for one. The title is the more interesting open question: “Last” is a firm word, and nothing Quiver has said settles whether it describes the trilogy or only this chapter of it.
