The cast list for writer/director Justin P. Lange’s The Seventh Day is filling out with some very talented names in advance of principle photography.

Keith David (The Thing), Stephen Lang (Don’t Breathe), Chris Galust (The Prince of Soho), Robin Bartlett (Shutter Island), and Brady Jenness (The Sinner) will join previously announced Guy Pearce (Memento) and Vadhir Derbez (How to Be a Latin Lover) according to Deadline.

The official synopsis of the The Seventh Day from IMDb states:

A renowned exorcist who teams up with a rookie priest for his first day of training. As they plunge deeper into hell on earth, the lines between good and evil blur, and their own demons emerge.

Lang is set to play an archbishop of the New Orleans Diocese while David will play a priest who mentored Pearce’s character in his younger days of being a priest. Galust will appear in the film as a younger version of Pearce and Jenness will star as a young boy who committed terrible crime while he was reportedly possessed.

This is Lange’s second feature film as both writer and director. He previously wrote and directed The Dark in 2018 which centered on an undead teenage girl who befriends a blind boy in the woods.

Filming is set to begin in Dallas and New Orleans next month. There is no set release date for the film at this time.

We’re certainly interested in seeing just how this one plays out. Either way, they’ve got one hell of a cast.
