In Halloween Store, Wes (Simon Rex) is a manager of a rag tag team of store associates at Shriek Shack. This store is basically a knockoff Spirit Halloween. On Halloween night the staff is visited by Sheriff Van Hollis (Anthony Michael Hall). He informs the team that their co-worker Heather (Grace Van Dien) has gone missing. Her absence leaves the Shriek Shak staff short-handed on the busiest night of the season. Unfortunately this means they will be missing the best holiday of the year.
However, for this crew missing out on Halloween festivities is the least of their concerns. After the last customer has left and the doors are locked for the night, it soon becomes apparent they are not the only ones remaining in the Halloween store. A masked killer is stalking them among the costume aisles. Whoever is playing this game of cat and mouse does not plan to let any of them get out alive.
The staff at Shriek Shack must work together if they plan to see November 1st.
While Halloween Store definitely plays to the tropes of your typical slasher movie, it also has a healthy dose of comedy. Balancing these elements is the only way such a ridiculous premise could work.
Halloween Store looks like a wildly spooky good time that will leave you jumping in your seat and screaming in laughter at the same time!
Alongside Simon Rex and Anthony Michael Hal, other cast members include; Thomas Dekker (A Nightmare on Elm Street, 2010), and Lindy Booth (Dawn of the Dead, 2004).
