According to a social media post by filmmaker Titus Peoples, he and co-writer Nigel Harden are writing and developing a series focused on Dr. Samuel Loomis, the obsessed psychiatrist who pursued Michael Myers throughout the franchise.

Peoples is the executive producer behind the 2020 indie thriller The Cattle Farmer. He is also President and Chief Executive Officer at UltimateClass Entertainment.

In an Instagram post from August 26, he explains how he got inspired to create a series based on Dr. Loomis.

“Still very much so in the early development of things but I’ve always wondered about the life of Dr. Samuel Loomis before getting to Michael. With the help of my co creator and co-writer @pbr__papi we will expand on the “Halloween” Mythology with this series. Pilot episode 90% written.. Ultimate Class Studios going crazy! Pen to pad and belt to ass!”

iHorror reached out to the filmmaker who says once the initial script is complete, he plans to enter it into film festival screenwriting competitions to give it some traction before pitching the idea to Hulu.

“I think fans are going to really appreciate the extended world we are building in the Halloween universe,” Peoples told iHorror. “Dr. Samuel Loomis is such an interesting character so it would be great to explore who he was before he met Michael”

iHorror will keep you posted on this project.
