Can it be? A legacy sequel that gets it right, and it’s a bite size two sequel franchise that some fans think was two too many.
But the early reviews for the new I Know What You Did Last Summer are in and this sequel is shining among the tarnish and no, it’s not confirmation bias. We will say because of the excitement, a movie premiere usually garners better reviews before the rest of the world gets to see it. But there’s usually a few influential detractors in the crowd. As of this writing we haven’t found one.
The premise of this movie is a bit confusing. It’s supposed to be a sequel but there’s no number after the title and reading the synopsis is like reading the plot of original:
“When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences.”
More baffling is that an older Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prince Jr., who were the main characters in the original, are back for this entry making their arcs canon. But we aren’t going to scratch our heads too long, X has the first out-of-auditorium reviews and we’ve posted some of them below.
