Netflix has released a teaser for Fear Street: Prom Queen, the latest entry in the Fear Street horror franchise based on R.L. Stine’s book series. The film is set to premiere on May 23, 2025.
Fear Street: Prom Queen is set in 1988 and follows a group of high school students at Shadyside High as they prepare for prom. When an unexpected outsider is nominated for prom queen, candidates begin disappearing under mysterious circumstances. The film centers around the investigation into these events as the senior class faces a night of terror.
The movie features a cast that includes India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono, and Ella Rubin. Supporting roles are played by Chris Klein, Lili Taylor, Katherine Waterston, and Ariana Greenblatt. The film is directed by Matt Palmer, with a screenplay co-written by Palmer and Donald McLeary.
Fear Street: Prom Queen is the fourth installment in Netflix’s Fear Street film series, following the original trilogy released in 2021. The previous films covered different time periods and stories tied to the cursed town of Shadyside. This new entry continues the franchise’s adaptation of Stine’s books with a standalone story.
