Exclusive Look at ‘Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies’

by Timothy Rawles

Late last year you may remember us telling you about Attack of the Southern Fried Zombies (renamed from Kudzu Zombies), a film touted by San Diego’s FANtastic Horror Film Festival as their goriest entry, in fact fimmakers took home the 2017 award.

Well on it’s way to becoming a bloody cult classic, Southern Fried Zombies is ready to drop into select theaters, on DVD and all digital platforms on March 13. But iHorror has been given some exclusive pics from the film so you can have your first look.

The story is set in the Hills of Charleston, Mississippi where citizens worry about the something called Kudzu, a weed that threatens to overpower the landscape and strangle out all other flora in its path.

Not to worry, GloboBioTech has a pesticide that can help, unfortunately it has a side effect which turns the living into the undead. Now a small group of citizens must battle an entire township of zombies if they want to escape.

Big distributor Gravitas Veritas thought the film deserved a wider release and snatched it up for domestic distribution. And in March you can finally see what everyone is talking about.

The film stars Timothy Haug, Moses J. Moseley (The Walking Dead), Wyntergrace Williams (This Just In), Megan Few (Demons), Escalante Lundy (Django Unchained), Kaitlin Mesh, and Clay Acker.  Zombie Makeup & SFX by Jonathan Thornton.

From a screenplay by Christian Hokenson, and produced by Daniel Wood, p.g.a., Mark Newton, Juri Koll, and Per Ericson, with co-producer Stephan Stromer.
