Bruce Campbell Tells ‘Evil Dead Rise’ Heckler to “Get the F@#* Out of Here” at SXSW
After Evil Dead Rise managed to blow SXSW’s hair back following its premiere in Austin Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi, Lee Cronin and the stars of the film took the stage for a Q&A. This is the usual fair following a big premiere. However, this time a heckler felt the need to yell his opinion that the film sucked at the crew. It didn’t take real-life hero, Bruce Campbell long to tell the misplaced heckler to get the fuck out of the theater.
Of course, Campbell’s comment was met with huge cheers. It also did the job of making the dum-dum, heckler leave the theater. Producer, Rob Tapert also had a good point. The longtime Evil Dead collaborator pointed out that the heckler watched the full movie, all of the credits and half of the Q&A before deciding it sucked.
Later, the heckler took to Twitter to say that Warner Bros was the one who put him up to it. But, something tells me that this dum-dum is feeling a bit embarrassed after having his first beer and wants to walk it back now. Too late. The Campbell has spoken.
The synopsis for Evil Dead Rise goes like this:
A woman finds herself in a fight for her life when an ancient book gives birth to bloodthirsty demons that run amok in a Los Angeles apartment building.
Makes sure to head to the theater to see Evil Dead Rise when it arrives in theaters on April 21. In the meantime check out our review right HERE.
