Recently, the winds have been blowing that director, Guy Ritchie is going to direct a live-action picture of Disney’s Hercules. In the original animated movie, James Woods voiced the blue-flamed dooed devil. Now it appears that a horror hero might take on the role. Evil Dead’s Bruce Campbell has made the list of potential Hades players and we couldn’t be more excited.
Now, this is very much still in the grain of salt phase of things. But, we are still already rooting for him. In fact, Campbell is very much on board too. He took to Twitter to share that he has no idea where this talk came from but that he is very much on board with it if it is indeed true.
Not sure where this inter-web rumor began, but I back it. https://t.co/f2857n5rzP

The synopsis for Disney’s 1997 Hercules went like this:
Disney tackles Greek mythology in this animated feature. Hercules (Tate Donovan), a son of gods, was snatched as a baby by Hades (James Woods) and forced to live among mortals as a half-man, half-god. Now a teenager, Hercules needs to perform a rite of passage on Earth to prove himself worthy of living with the gods on Mount Olympus. With his plucky satyr sidekick, Philoctetes (Danny DeVito), along for the ride, Hercules must learn how to use his strength to defeat a series of evil creatures.
If the internet makes enough noise a rumor has been known to turn into a truth. So, why the heck not. Let’s make some noise fellow horror hounds and lets get Evil Dead’s charming devil into Hades’ blue suede shoes.
