Peacock is swinging for the fences this holiday season. Not only are they releasing the highly anticipated Teacup series, but they also have a satanic panic project titled Hysteria in the works. If that concept doesn’t get you excited, which it should, what if I told you Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) was playing a small town sheriff?
That’s right boneheads, the legend himself will grace us this Halloween season. Not only that but Hysteria also features Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Anna Camp (From Black), and Nikki Hahn (American Horror Story). This macabre tale comes to us from Mathew Scott Kane (American Horror Story), and David A. Goodman (Family Guy).

Based on the trailer, we can expect a wild ride of paranoia and demonic metal music. This series looks to combine the awesome metal music of Deathgasm with the sweet nostalgia of Stranger Things. You can read the official synopsis below.
When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, HYSTERIA! follows a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts who realize that they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band. This is until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.
Hysteria will be released on Peacock on October 18, 2024.
That’s all the information we have at this time. Make sure to check out the new trailer below.
