When you watch the trailer for Booger you might be a little let down about the title since it’s seemingly not what you think despite our play on words in the headline. Turns out, Booger is the name of a cat.

Booger got rave reviews when it premiered at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival. It even got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is the first feature film by director Mary Dauterman and it seems people were really impressed by her debut.

It stars Grace Glowiki as Anna, who, “after her best friend unexpectedly dies in a bike accident, and her cat escapes, she struggles to put the pieces back together. As she turns her life upside down looking for him, a gnarly cat bite results in terrifying physical changes.”

Collider’s Maggie Lovitt said in her review:  “Dauterman’s feature debut is a must-watch for horror connoisseurs who prefer horror films that make them think, despite how unsettling that sort of introspection might be.”

Watch the trailer below and let us know if you’ll be watching Booger when it hits VOD this fall.
