The popular “Hot Girl Summer” rapper Megan Thee Stallion said in a recent interview with Marie Claire that she was writing a horror film, and hoping for a collaboration with acclaimed horror director Jordan Peele.

Lola Ogunnaike writes in the article about Megan:

“As if she’s not juggling enough, Megan is currently writing a horror movie. She’s a die-hard fan of the genre and has grown tired of hackneyed reboots of ’80s classics: ‘How many times can you remake Halloween?’ A collaboration with Oscar-winning writer Jordan Peele would be nice, she says.”

I think many can agree with her that there are too many reboots of ‘80s horror movie classics. So what would a Megan Thee Stallion horror movie look like? Maybe it’ll be a horror killer summer?

Previously Megan has stated that she’s a huge horror fan and in an interview with Vogue said that her horror movie would be inspired by her love for The Human Centipede.

One of her favorite films? The Evil Dead

“Everyone knows I f**kin’ love horror movies,” she said in the video interview.

Megan also explained why she prefers the villains in films.

“I like movies that make you semi fall in love with the villain so you have sympathy for him,” she said. “I feel like every good story you can’t just necessarily kill off the villain. That’s why the Batman never killed Joker. How the f**k would you have Batman without Joker?”

It’s not often the rap world crosses over into the horror world, but always interesting when it does.

If you aren’t familiar with the rapper, Megan Thee Stallion blew up in the music scene in only 2019 with her hit “Big Ole Freak.” Since then, she has collaborated on music with Nicki Minaj, Ty Dolla Sign, Gucci Mane, Juicy J, Quavo, Kalid, Chance the Rapper and DaBaby.

More recently, she released the song “Diamonds” for the 2020 violent anti-superhero movie “Birds of Prey.” Check out the funhouse-themed music video below!
