‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ & ‘King of the Hill’ Creator Turns to Grisly Procedural ‘Bad Crimes’

Mike Judge is Always Doing Great Stuff

Mike Judge creator of Beavis and Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Idiocracy and many more is working on a new-animated series titled Bad Crimes over at Netflix.

The new animated series focuses on two FBI Agents, Kara and Jennie played by Nicole Byer AND Lauren Lapkus. These two travel across the US investigating grisly crimes while working on their friendship and their relationships on the road. The series will act as a dark comedy, with a procedural crime mechanics at work.

Both Greg Daniels and Mike Judge will executive produce the series. The duo are iconic in comedy. Last time the two worked together was on HBO’s hit series, Silicon Valley. Nicole Silverberg is also on as a co-executive producer and the official creator of Bad Crimes.

“Making Bad Crimes with Greg and Mike and Bandera, who are the whole reason I dreamed of one day getting to write TV, has been such a surreal and incredible experience.” Silverberg said in a press release. “We all feel that working with Netflix – which not only permits, but encourages my grossest, most violent comedy fantasies – is a dream come true. Plus, I am partnering with Erica Hayes and a genius team of writers who are building this show into something unique and special.”

Animation artist Erica Hayes has worked on an impressive number of rad animated series’ like Rick and Morty, BoJack Horseman, Solar Opposites and more.

The 10-episode Bad Crimes is produced by Judge and Daniel’s New Bandera Entertainment Company. The series is set to premiere on Netflix.
