How to Play the Dark Hunt
Ten hidden words, one horror theme, a twelve by twelve grid. Drag across a word to claim it – on a phone, hold and drag with your finger.
- Words run in all eight directions: forwards, backwards, up, down and every diagonal.
- Spaces in a title are closed up, so Lost Boys is hiding in the grid as LOSTBOYS.
- The word list sits beside the grid and crosses off as you find them.
- Find all ten and your time is yours to share.
Questions
What are the themes?
They rotate daily through 26 of them – slashers, Universal monsters, sci-fi horror, killer animals, haunted houses, Halloween night, vampires, zombies and more.
Do I need to know the films?
It helps, but you do not need to. The words are all in front of you – this is the most film-heavy of the four games, but it is still a word search, not a quiz.
When does the hunt change?
A new theme, new words and a new grid at midnight in your time zone.
Is there a time limit?
No. The clock runs so you can share your time and beat it tomorrow, but nothing stops you taking as long as you like.
