Tap a card to send it home, or drag it — touch a card and every legal landing spot lights up. Red on black, black on red, same as always.
How to Play Grave Patience
Grave Patience is Klondike solitaire — the solitaire that shipped with every computer you have ever owned — dealt from a deck drawn for horror fans.
- Build the four foundations up from the ace, one for each suit. Get all fifty-two home and the run is won.
- Build the columns down in alternating colour, red on black and black on red, exactly as you already know.
- Tap a card and it goes wherever it legally belongs, foundation first — or drag it if you would rather. Touch any card and every legal landing spot lights up.
- An empty column takes a king. The stock turns one card at a time and you may go round it as often as you like.
- Undo is unlimited, so a bad turn costs you nothing but the clock.
Questions
Is every deal actually winnable?
Yes, and that is unusual. Roughly one Klondike deal in five cannot be won by anybody — most solitaire apps deal them to you anyway. Every deal here is solved by a computer before it is published, so if you lose, the win was there to be found.
What are the suits?
Blood is hearts and Bone is diamonds, both red. Claw is clubs and Blade is spades, both black. Same four suits, same two colours, same rules — the artwork is the only thing that changed.
Does everyone get the same deal?
Yes. The deal is fixed by the date, so every player is working the same layout on the same day, and a new one arrives at midnight in your own time zone.
Can I replay a deal?
As many times as you like. It is the same deal every time until midnight, so a faster run really is a better run.
Is my time saved?
Your best time for the day is kept in your own browser. It resets with the new deal and does not follow you to another device.
