How to Play Flappy Bat
One button, endless crypt gates. Tap the screen, click the mouse or hit the space bar to flap. That really is the whole game.
- Every gate you fly through is one point. Clip a gate, the ceiling or the ground and the run is over.
- Each flap gives you a burst of lift, then gravity takes back over – short taps keep you level, no tapping sends you into the floor.
- Everyone flies the exact same course on the same day, so comparing scores actually means something.
- Fly as many times as you like. The course only changes at midnight.
Questions
Does the course really not change between runs?
Correct. The gates are laid out from the date, so your tenth run of the day is the same course as your first – and the same one everyone else is flying.
Is my best score saved?
Your best for the day is kept in your own browser, so it stays put while you keep playing but does not follow you to another device.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes – tap anywhere on the game to flap. It was built for touch first.
Is every course actually possible?
Yes. Gap positions are capped so the climb between two gates is always one a bat can make in the time available.
