Louis McCartney earned a Tony nomination playing the boy who becomes Vecna. His next job is called No One Is Coming, and nobody will say what it is about.
A24 has set the film as an Anglo-Irish horror picture from LifeHack director Ronan Corrigan, with McCartney among four actors attached to star alongside Jessica Reynolds, Sky Yang and Gabriel Nagy. Deadline broke the news Thursday. A plot was not part of the announcement.

Corrigan wrote the script with Hope Elliott Kemp, his co-writer on LifeHack, and Reynolds is carrying over from that film too. Yang appears in Whistle, and Nagy comes off Extra Geography. Film4 developed and co-financed the production, with additional money from Screen Ireland.
McCartney Has Been Playing Horror Onstage for Three Years
McCartney originated Henry Creel in Stranger Things: The First Shadow, opening the play at London’s Phoenix Theatre in December 2023 and then taking it to the Marquis on Broadway in April 2025. The role turns a teenage boy into Vecna in front of a live audience night after night, and it won him a Stage Debut Award in 2024 and a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Play the following year.
He is also from Belfast, which makes an Anglo-Irish shoot a short trip rather than a relocation. His screen work has been mostly British television to this point, including 22 episodes of Hope Street, so this is the first horror feature with his name near the top of the call sheet.
LifeHack Is Why A24 Called
Corrigan’s debut premiered at SXSW in March 2025 and reached UK cinemas through Vue in May of this year, with Paramount and The Avenue handling the digital release. It is a screenlife film, told entirely through the screens its characters are looking at, and it was produced by Timur Bekmambetov, whose Bazelevs built that format with Unfriended and Searching. Four young scammers try to empty a tech billionaire’s crypto wallet and lose control of the job.

Moving from a film built out of webcam windows to a straight horror feature is a bigger jump than it sounds. Screenlife hides its budget and its blocking inside an interface; a camera in a room does neither. Corrigan has the harder assignment this time.
A24 Keeps Stacking Horror
No One Is Coming lands on a slate that already includes Jeremy Saulnier’s Slayground and V/H/S: SCP, both of them further down the road than this one.
There is no release date, no logline and no footage. What the film has is a title that reads like a warning and a director who has already shown he can build tension out of almost nothing on screen.
