A Monster Eats a Small Child in First Clip From Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Antlers’

The Scott Cooper directed and Guillermo Del Toro produced Antlers is finally coming to theaters. It’s been a long confusing wait with all the delays but it’s finally almost here. The film all about a kid and his monster is a riveting and gory outing.

The first clip from Antlers is an intense one and gets right to the point. It features a young boy taking a stroll through the woods before running into a bully who wants to start some trouble. It doesn’t take long for the bully to meet a seriously violent end. He gets devoured by a big and seriously mean monster.

The creature in Antlers is especially cool. As you know, Del Toro is all about the intricacies of a monster and what makes it biologically feasible The same is true with this monster.

The synopsis for Antlers goes like this:

From the visionary world of acclaimed director Scott Cooper and horror maestro Guillermo del Toro comes ANTLERS. In an isolated Oregon town, a middle-school teacher (Keri Russell) and her sheriff brother (Jesse Plemons) become embroiled with her enigmatic student (Jeremy T. Thomas) whose dark secrets lead to terrifying encounters with a legendary ancestral creature who came before them. Based on the short story The Quiet Boy by Nick Antosca. Produced by Guillermo del Toro, David S. Goyer, and J. Miles Dale.

Antlers arrives in theaters just in time for Halloween weekend.
