Rob Zombie’s Directorial Debut Was Almost ‘The Crow 3’

Published

on

Rob Zombie

As crazy as it may seem, The Crow 3 was about to go a completely different direction. Originally, it would have been directed by Rob Zombie himself and it was going to be his directorial debut. The film would have been titled The Crow 2037 and it would follow a more futuristic story. Check out more about the film and what Rob Zombie said about it below.

Movie Scene from The Crow (1994)

The film’s story would have started in the year “2010, when a young boy and his mother are murdered on Halloween night by a Satanic priest. A year later, the boy is resurrected as the Crow. Twenty-seven years later, and unaware of his past, he has become a bounty hunter on a collision course with his now all-powerful killer.”

Movie Scene from The Crow: City of Angels (1996)

In an interview with Cinefantastique, Zombie said “I did write The Crow 3, and I was supposed to direct it, and I worked on it for 18 months or so. The producers and the people behind it were so schizophrenic with what they wanted that I just bailed because I could see that it was going nowhere fast. They changed their minds every day about what they wanted. I had wasted enough time and gave up. I would never get back in that situation again.”

Movie Scene from The Crow: Salvation (2000)

Once Rob Zombie left the project, we instead got The Crow: Salvation (2000). This movie was directed by Bharat Nalluri who is known for Spooks: The Greater Good (2015). The Crow: Salvation follows the story of “Alex Corvis, who was framed for the murder of his girlfriend and is then executed for the crime. He is then brought back from the dead by a mysterious crow and discovers that a corrupt police force is behind her murder. He then seeks out revenge against his girlfriend’s killers.” This film would have a limited theatrical run and then go direct to video. It currently sits at 18% Critic and 43% Audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes.

Movie Scene from The Crow (2024)

It would have been interesting to see how Rob Zombie’s version of The Crow 3 would have turned out, but then again, we may have never gotten his film House of 1000 Corpses. Do you wish we would have gotten to see his film The Crow 2037 or was it better it never happened? Let us know in the comments below. Also, check out the trailer for the new reboot titled The Crow set to debut in theaters on August 23rd of this year.

Alleged Former Haunted Museum Staff Member Tattles on Zak Bagans

Published

on

Zak Bagans has been getting a bum rap lately thanks to some of his former Ghost Adventures teammates. But he’s also getting roasted by one of his alleged former Haunted Museum employees in Las Vegas

The apparent team member took to Reddit in an AMA (Ask Me Anything), inviting subscribers to ask them about their job including juicy details regarding their famous boss. It resulted in a windfall of queries that came with some surprising answers.

Bagans was one of the first to take his ghost hunting prowess to television creating a successful reality show that featured some of the world’s most haunted places. Coupled with his good looks, reactive histrionics and penchant for building tension Ghost Adventures became a pop culture phenomenon.

Throughout his travels, Bagans began to collect cursed items enough to fill a vintage house in Nevada which he eventually repurposed and named The Haunted Museum. Guests are able to visit his collection for a fee and are directed through its many rooms by a tour guide.

The YouTube channel TheSneezingMonkey featured the AMA Reddit thread on his channel with an update to follow.

Since the ex-employee cannot, or won’t, be verified, suffice it to say that nothing revealed in the lengthy discussion should be taken as fact. This could be a disgruntled ex-employee with nothing better to do than talk smack about the television icon who has managed to keep his show on the air for 16 years. Or, some of it could be true.

But that is for you to decide.

Baffling Footage of “Time Traveler” Captured on Ring Cam

Published

on

Some physicists think that time travel is possible and in a recent social media story we might believe them.

It all started when a homeowner named Alec Schaal checked his outside security camera remotely. He saw a young gentleman walking aimlessly around the yard seemingly looking for something. The trespassing individual with a backpack over his shoulder entered the homeowner’s tool shed and closed the door. It seemed like a simple case of unlawful intrusion. But as the homeowner reviewed the entire footage he noticed something strange and ended up calling the police.

It became a concern when the interloper never exited the shed. Worried, the homeowner had law enforcement check on the situation but the investigation turned up nothing: the stranger was nowhere to be found, he seemingly disappeared into thin air.

That would have been the end of it, but what happened next is even stranger.

The next day, someone who looks like the first guy emerges from the shed but he appears 30 years older!!

Since this weird story broke, Schaal’s TikTok has been blowing up and he has given several updates. Of course, some people are outright skeptical about the whole thing, while others want more proof which Schaal provides.

In the most recent update, Schaal says TikTok is trying to remove the story from his feed saying that it violates their guidelines about…gambling. He’s appealed but was declined.

Take a look at the videos for yourself and let us know what you think.

@alecschaal

I’ve literally watched this 1 million times and he never leaves. Where did he go? 😭👀

Why You May NOT Want To Go In Blind Before Watching ‘The Coffee Table’

Published

on

You might want to prepare yourself for some things if you plan to watch The Coffee Table now rentable on Prime. We aren’t going to go into any spoilers, but research is your best friend if you are sensitive to intense subject matter.

If you don’t believe us, maybe horror writer Stephen King might convince you. In a tweet he published on May 10, the author says, “There’s a Spanish movie called THE COFFEE TABLE on Amazon Prime and Apple+. My guess is you have never, not once in your whole life, seen a movie as black as this one. It’s horrible and also horribly funny. Think the Coen Brothers’ darkest dream.”

It is hard to talk about the film without giving anything away. Let’s just say there are certain things in horror movies that are generally off the, ahem, table and this film crosses that line in a big way.

The Coffee Table

The very ambiguous synopsis says:

“Jesus (David Pareja) and Maria (Estefanía de los Santos) are a couple going through a difficult time in their relationship. Nevertheless, they have just become parents. To shape their new life, they decide to buy a new coffee table. A decision that will change their existence.”

But there is more to it than that, and the fact that this might be the darkest of all comedies is also a little unsettling. Although it is heavy on the dramatic side too, the core issue is very taboo and might leave certain people sick and disturbed.

What’s worse is that it is an excellent movie. The acting is phenomenal and the suspense, masterclass. Compounding that it’s a Spanish film with subtitles so you have to look at your screen; it’s just evil.

The good news is The Coffee Table isn’t really that gory. Yes, there is blood, but it’s used more as just a reference than a gratuitous opportunity. Still, the mere thought of what this family has to go through is unnerving and I can guess many people will turn it off within the first half-hour.

Director Caye Casas has made a great film that might go down in history as one of the most disturbing ever made. You have been warned.
