We’ve got some great news for you straight from Michael Gross’ Facebook page regarding Tremors 6. Yes – that’s right – we’ve got a release date!
The actor took to Facebook today to reveal that it will be “tentatively” released on January 30, 2018. His statement can be read below:
YOU HEARD IT HERE!!! Universal Studios Hollywood tells me that the tentative release date for Tremors 6 will be January 30, 2018. I appreciate that many of you would like to see it sooner, but I will keep you busy with behind the scenes posts. Please invite your friends to LIKE & FOLLOW this page!
So, what’s with the addition of the word “tentative”? It’s no secret that there is a lot that goes into creating, marketing, and finally, releasing a movie. Any number of things can happen to delay the release. Still, I wouldn’t worry – it’s way too early for that! At this point in time, let’s just celebrate that we’re getting yet another installment of the zany franchise.
Much like the previous installment, we can expect the film to be straight to home video. Michael Gross, who plays Burt Gummer in the series, will (quite obviously) be returning. Joining him will be Jamie Kennedy, who plays Travis Welker. Don Michael Paul, director of the fifth film, returns as well to helm the project.
And in case you forgot, we’ll be getting a new Amazon series for the franchise on top of Tremors 6, with actor Kevin Bacon reprising his role. It’s most definitely a great time to be a fan of the film series.
Intrepid creature hunter Burt Gummer and his son Travis find themselves in a remote hotbed of giant man-eating worms in the newest action-packed entry in the wildly popular Tremors franchise. Currently in production in Cape Town, South Africa, this outrageous horror comedy finds the pair at a remote research station where they come under attack by what Burt fears could be weaponized Graboids
