Hey Tightwads! It’s the beginning of another month, which means you’re probably broke from paying rent. But, it’s also Tightwad Terror Tuesday, which means free movies from iHorror. So here there are…
Beaster Day: Here Comes Peter Cottonhell
So Tightwad Terror Tuesday is a little behind the curve on this one, but iHorror did cover Beaster Day: Here Comes Peter Cottonhell a couple of weeks back for Easter. This 2014 movie is pretty much exactly what it sounds like; a giant ferocious Easter bunny goes on rampage, killing everyone and everything that gets in its way. Truth be told, the bunny on the cover art is way cooler looking than the bunny in the movie, but this one is good for some schlocky grins. Check out Beaster Day: Here Comes Peter Cottonhell right here at Vudu.
From a mutant rabbit to killer worms; Squirm is about a freak storm that brings down some power lines, and the electricity hitting the ground causes a bunch of carnivorous worms to rise to the surface and hunt people. This 1976 Jeff Lieberman-directed gem is a b-movie classic, so if you haven’t seen it, what are you waiting for? You can catch Squirm right here at TubiTV.
Ghosthouse is a spooky little 1988 Italian campfest about a group of people who explore a haunted house with horrifying results. Directed by Umberto Lenzi and produced by Joe D’Amato, Ghosthouse was released in Italy as an Evil Dead sequel (Evil Dead and Evil Dead II went by the Italian titles La Casa and La Casa 2, with Ghosthouse being released as La Casa 3), and therefore, did a little better at the box office than it did in the States. It has nothing to do with Sam Raimi’s movies, though. You can see Evil Dead 3, er, I mean Ghosthouse, here at ShoutFactory TV.
The Night they Took Miss Beautiful
The Night They Took Miss Beautiful is a 1977 television movie about an airplane that is hijacked while carrying a lethal biological weapon. So, why is it called The Night They Took Miss Beautiful? The plane’s passenger manifest also includes a bunch of beauty pageant contestants. In typical TV movie fashion, this one boasts a stellar cast led by Gary Collins, Victoria Principal, Chuck Connors, William Bassett, and Jonathan Banks. Find The Night They Took Miss Beautiful here at DailyMotion.
There have been a handful of movies and television shows with the name Camera Obscura over the years, including one coming out later this year, but this is the 2000 movie about a photographer who joins the Los Angeles Police Department as a crime scene photographer. The work proves to be a little too emotionally taxing for him, and he begins staging and rearranging crime scenes to make the victims look more lifelike. This is a grim and surreal movie, so if that’s what you’re into, you can track it down right here at Snagfilms.
