Happy Thanksgiving, Tightwads! We’ve got a few turkeys in with the free movies this week for your Thanksgiving weekend, so let’s get to it!
Psychomania is about a motorcycle gang called The Living Dead that makes a deal with the devil to obtain eternal life. All they have to do is kill themselves. Of course, as is the case with most deals with the devil, the arrangement is not quite as simple as it would seem. Also known as The Death Wheelers, this 1973 British B-movie was directed by Don Sharp and contains the final film appearance of the legendary George Sanders. Catch Psychomania here at TubiTV.
From the title, one might assume that Bite is a vampire movie, but it’s not. Bite is a 2015 semi-creature feature about a young woman who is bitten by an insect while on her bachelorette weekend getaway. The bride-to-be soon starts exhibiting insect-like traits, making her wonder exactly what kind of bug bit her. Bite is a creepy and creative little modern horror classic, and you can find it right here at Shout Factory TV.
Death Bed: The Bed That Eats
Death Bed: The Bed That Eats is one of those movies that tells you everything you need to know in the title. This cheapo movie is, just as the name implies, about a bed that is possessed by an evil spirit and devours anyone who is unlucky enough to lie down on it. This legendary low-budget movie was shot in 1972, and shown a few times in 1977, but didn’t actually see the light of day in general release until after the turn of the century in 2003. You can see it right here at Popcornflix.
Devil May Call
Devil May Call is a 2013 movie about a young blind woman who works for a suicide crisis hotline. On her last night on the job, one of her regular callers feels betrayed that she is leaving him and takes his anger out on her…in person. Devil May Call was directed by Jason Cuadrado, and features a cast full of minor-league horror royalty, actors like Tyler Mane, Corri English, and Traci Lords. Check out Devil May Call right here at TubiTV.
The simply titled Bear is about a group of people whose van breaks down while they are driving through a dense forest. They encounter a grizzly bear and kill it in self-defense, but that only angers the bear’s mate, who is close by and ready to strike. This 2010 movie is not quite as effective as the similar Backcountry, but it’s still a tense and suspenseful contained thriller. Catch Bear right here at Vudu.
